Why email encryption matters

How it works
OpenText Core Email Encryption scans all outbound emails in real time for sensitive information using advanced content filters. When a message matches your organization's DLP policies, it is automatically encrypted, quarantined, or blocked based on defined rules. The Best Method of Delivery (BMOD) engine then selects the most secure delivery method, including S/MIME, TLS, or the Secure Messaging Portal. This ensures recipients receive protected content regardless of their email platform. Administrators have full reporting visibility into encryption activity through graphical compliance dashboards, while users benefit from seamless, secure communication. The platform helps reinforce compliance awareness and minimizes the risk of human error. It integrates easily with existing workflows and requires no special software on the recipient’s side.
