Partners and customers will be able to enjoy reliability and security of Zix solution,First cross-over offering underscores commitment to rapid integration
GULF BREEZE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 24, 2019-- AppRiver, a Zix (NASDAQ: ZIXI) company and leading provider of cloud-based cybersecurity, productivity, and compliance services, today announced that ZixEncrypt, will be available for AppRiver partners beginning on April 25, 2019. The next-generation email encryption platform is a product of Zix, a leading provider of email security solutions and now parent company of AppRiver.
The integration of ZixEncrypt comes just two months after AppRiver’s acquisition by Zix. The launch reinforces Zix CEO Dave Wagner’s vision of broadening the two companies’ best-in-class security offerings to their customers. It also signals the companies’ strategic and product integration is well under way.
“AppRiver’s 4,500-strong reseller network – and the tens of thousands of businesses they work with -- will now have access to the same encryption technology that protects many of the nation’s largest financial and healthcare institutions,” Wagner said. “That we were able to integrate Zix email encryption into the AppRiver platform in just 64 days speaks to how well-aligned the two companies are and highlights why the acquisition was so powerful.”
Delivering on the business community’s growing demand for security and efficiency while managing an ever-increasing volume of confidential data, the new email encryption capabilities provide intelligent full-content scanning of a sender’s email subject, message body and attachments.
Specialized DLP filters are used to automatically identify financial, healthcare or other sensitive information in all outbound emails. Based on policy preferences, messages determined to be sensitive can be automatically encrypted, logged, routed, blocked or branded, requiring no additional action by the email sender.
With the added benefits of data loss prevention and customized, advanced content filtering, AppRiver gives businesses under compliance regulations the ability to tailor their protection of sensitive and confidential data with ease during email transmissions.
“Our channel partners let us know very clearly that they wanted Zix solutions even before the acquisition,” said Chris Essex, AppRiver’s senior vice president of global sales. “We’re very proud that our combined team was able to bring encryption into our suite so quickly – and we look forward to adding others in the months ahead.”
“It’s exciting to see Zix’s best-of-breed encryption available alongside AppRiver’s suite of security products, especially so soon after the two companies joined forces,” said Brandon Smith, senior director of product management for AppRiver partner Onepath, a Kennesaw, Georgia-based provider of managed IT solutions. “That’s good news for MSPs who want the convenience of selling a full range of services through AppRiver’s platform, but it’s also a very encouraging sign that the acquisition will mean more integration and innovation from the combined company moving forward.”
